The Vasque Ranger GTX boot is very comfortable right out of the box. Size was right on. Going on a long trip in August which will include quite a bit of walking. These hiking shoes will be what I will wear everyday.

I bought these to replace an identical pair that I have been wearing almost every day for about three years. They are so comfortable, I wear them for everyday shoes. I live in the country, so I can wear them to work in an office and don't have to change shoes to work when I get home. They don't need breaking in, and are warm enough for winter wear, but cool enough to wear year round. I don't usually order shoes online, but since I knew these were exactly what I wanted, I didn't hesitate. Plus, at the time I ordered, they were $81, about $30 cheaper than local stores.

my husband has been wearing boots for 38 years. this is by far the most comfortable- lightweight- keeps feet warm in winter- cool in summer- durable

Vasque has always been a reliable brand to me. When I found myself in need of some new boots, with cold weather quickly approaching, I happened upon this deal on Amazon. Incredibly lightweight boots, and I quickly discovered they are truly water-proof. They keep my feet surprisingly warm considering their seemingly thin construction, and wool socks provide a level of toastiness. I was concerned about the sizing, having never ordered footwear online before, but these are totally perfect. And, wow! What a deal! $80 including shipping?! I am joyful!

Review by Korwedge : 5 mile break-in, no blisters!

I took these out of the box and hiked on a rainy day in mud, rocks, and puddles for 5+ miles and they performed great, and my feet had no hot spots or blisters! The build guality impressed me. They seemed to be completely waterproof. The lace system works well. The only issue I had was the in-sole cushion. It's pretty hard, and my feet got a little tired. This could be because I only wore thin running socks instead of thicker wool socks. I might need to try some aftermarket inserts. Overall, I felt that these boots performed as expected!

Purchased these boots for my husband who has severe arthritis in his right knee (bone on bone). He needed a boot that would provide comfort, good ankle support and fit. Normally, he will not purchase shoes online, needing to try them on before purchasing.

Right out of the box he said "they fit like a glove". Walking in them on the trail, experienced no knee pain, no hot spots no pinch points.

An excellent boot for the value. True to size -- purchase with confidence.
