Have an older duo core Dell XPS that is playing my sons online star wars game like lightening with the videocard. Initially when we installed we did not attach the extra power cord provided, as we saw the fan running on the card and thought it was getting enough power. All we got was a blank screen. But once we attached the power cord, the video card worked and the upgrade from the Nvidia 8000 series to this ASUS GTX 550 was awesome. Now we can set all graphics features on high and my son says the movement is "so smooth" in the game. Great card, great price.

It performs awesome for the low price, im able to play all kind of games with it with no problems at all not at "Ultra" setting but i do have a really good experience with this video card, i definitely would not use this card for just video editing....its simply ridiculous why would you get a GTX for video editing only???. The Card it a little bit bulky but is more than worthy for the price and performance, don't let the market fool at you even though that the "recommended" requirements of some games suggest a higher model of this card give it a try first with this video card and you'll be able to see by yourself what im talking about,besides that if you decide that its just not giving you the performance youre expecting simply OC,add another one and put it in SLI.Simple.

I bought this card a week or so ago, no issues yet, it runs BF3 with maximum graphical settings, at a 1900 x 1080 resolution in 1080P. And the temp never rose above 60C, about 58C normally.
I do jump down to 24 fps in BF3 on max at certain times, but thats probably my cpu running at 100% usage having a hiccup. Normally its 39 fps. I recommend this card if you need power on a budget,
its quiet, cheap, powerful, and has a long lifespan. The only game it would have an issue with would be Crysis, but if your running a lower resolution than mine, than probably won't be an issue.I ran dougeon defenders maxxed out at 60 FPS, and its locked at 60 or it would be higher.
Ran killing floor maxxed out with 100 + fps.
Runs minecraft maxxed out 70 - 130 fps.And I tested all these with 1900 x 1080 HD Monitor, Intel Pentium 3.0ghz Dual core, 6 GB DDR3 1333mhz ram.Be sure to update drivers or minecraft can't run well.
